- My translations of German dramatist Bertolt Brecht's screenplays and related essays include the only English transcription-translation of Kuhle Wampe, a significant work of Weimar era
cinema and the best example of Brechtian film and screenwriting. Published on the Internet and previously in PRISM International, literary journal of the University of British Columbia at Vancouver.
- My translations of German writer Wolfgang Borchert's
short stories have also appeared on the Internet and in PRISM International -- as well as by permission in university print-on-demand textbooks published in Moscow and Stockholm, reflecting a resurgence of interest in Borchert's writings in Europe.
